1. HISTORY

DELOM PORTUAIRE SAS is the heir of Delom SA company created by M. Louis Delom in 1939 in Sète. Its activity was based on ship owner and auxialiary transport.
Specialized in shipping regular services between South of France and North Africa area company overcame major changes of the profession through the century : markets, vessels, packaging of the goods etc. evolving from traditional cargo to roro vessels since 1980.
The Company has been also active in the regular Cross-Channel services and in the specialiazed tramping transport for the Army.

In 1989, activities of the Company are divided and the subsidiary Delom Portuaire SAS took back all the port activies. Since then, it’s specialiazed into services made to ships, service to goods as well as shipbrokerage.

In order to expand its activities, Delom Portuaire SAS participated in the création of the SEPAB (company responsible for the operation and extension of "cattel pen" of the port meeting the requirements for EU directives). Delom is still a shareholder of the SEPAB.

Delom is also affiliated of French Maritime Cluster, Port Sète Maritime Association and Port Sète Dockers Service.

2. IMPLEMENTATION

Delom is always helded by a single family and based in Sète. The implementaton of the Company in the enclosure of the port encourages the speed of the execution. Halfway between Marseille and Barcelona, the port of Sète is directly linked to the highway, railway and waterway networks and is located at only 25 km from the Montpellier Aerport.

Delom has its own fleet of vehicles and Handling equipment suitable for all operations. Efficient and responsive, the Delom’s team provides accurate and quick responses to all its clients' and partners' requests.
